The Olympic Flame Route in France

On April 16, 2024, in keeping with an age-old Greek tradition, the Olympic flame will be lit at the sanctuary of Olympia. This symbolic moment will take place using the sun’s rays to light the flame. The flame will then be transported to Athens. From there, it will board the famous ship Le Belem, cross the Mediterranean Sea and touch down on the French coast in Marseille on May 8, 2024. From there, the Olympic flame will embark on its journey across France, both metropolitan and overseas, finally reaching Paris on July 26, 2024, the day of the opening ceremony.

The Olympic Torch Relay in Troyes, France

On Saturday, July 13, 2024, the Olympic flame will be in Troyes, in the Aube department in the Champagne region. The torch’s route will pass through the towns of Mesnil-Saint-Père, on the magnificent site of the Forêt d’Orient lakes, and Dolancourt, in the heart of the Nigloland theme park. These two towns are just ten kilometers from our original accommodation village:the Champagne village.
