Night Sky
The Night Sky app is the benchmark app for celestial observation. Thanks to augmented reality, you can locate the various constellations, planets or stars above you, simply by pointing your smartphone in the air. Thanks to Night Sky, you can even walk through the galaxy and take a closer look at the various stars, as if you had a telescope.
Star Walk 2
The Star Walk app lets you locate and name the stars, constellations and other planets above you. In fact, thanks to augmented reality, the starry sky you see comes to life, with all the indications you need to enjoy your evening under the stars. The beauty of Star Walk is that it’s so easy to use.
Google Sky Maps
After developing Google Earth, Google now offers a free sky mapping application. Very easy to use, and sufficient if you simply want to know the names of what you can see in the sky. With Google sky maps, you can also move around the galaxy and even visit Mars and the moon.
Sky Safari
Sky Safari is very similar to the free Night Sky application. The interface is different, but it also offers an augmented reality view of the sky with commentary. If you’re looking for a particular constellation, the search engine guides you to find it in the sky. Sky Safari also lets you travel back in time and see what the sky looked like thousands of years ago. You can virtually relive meteor showers, and why not take a look at the skies of the future.
Starry nights during your stay with Slowmoov
Whether you’re a fan or a novice, Starry Night is the perfect time to relax with the family, turn off all the lights, pull out the blankets on the terrace and look up at the sky. Starry Night takes place every year, usually at the beginning of August. During these few days, a shower of shooting stars crosses our skies. It’s a joy to observe them in a setting like that of our unusual accommodations, which give you a 360° view, in a place with little or no light pollution. It’s a great activity to share with your children, who generally find the spectacle magical. It’s not every day you get to see a shooting star.
The 2021 edition of Starry Night will take place on August 6, 7 and 8, 2021. Numerous events are being organized all over France in various public and private venues. To date, we don’t have any information on events organized locally, but don’t hesitate to ask us at reception when you arrive.
