Once we’ve ordered our dinner tray, we’re off to stretch our legs and discover this delightful and original place. At nightfall, it’s time to head back to our unusual accommodation for dinner with the family, and fall asleep to the melodious sounds of nature all around us.
Day 2: Shopping and relaxation🛍
Saturday morning, we wake up to daylight and birdsong. A hearty breakfast awaits us outside the trailer door. Just what we need, as the day’s program promises to be a busy one.
Just 1 hour’s drive away are the factory outlets of Troyes, where this phenomenon, also known as the Outlet, is said to have originated in the 1960s. Troyes is home to Europe’s largest outlet center, with average discounts ranging from 30% to 50%, not to mention the sales period when prices are even more attractive. Troyes factory outlets are divided into 4 main shopping areas: Marques Avenue, McArthurGlen, Marques City and Village des Marques.
To recover from our shopping trip, as soon as we return to the village, we head off to the heated pool for a much-appreciated, almost essential moment of relaxation and decompression.
For the evening, it’s dinner in town at Bar-sur-Aube, which is just a short walk from the Champagne village. In this small town of 5,000 inhabitants, you’ll find numerous bars and restaurants, leisure facilities and even a cinema to round off an intense day.
Day 3: Fill your lungs with fresh country air🌳
On the3rd and last day of the weekend, it’s time to pack up and head home from our family weekend. But first, we’ll be taking a leisurely stroll along the banks of the pond to get some fresh air and a last shot of nature and fresh air. Bicycles can be borrowed on a self-service basis, so we can ride as far as the first vineyards of the Champagne region, just 8km from the unusual village.
