Vacations for couples, families or friends can quickly become a small budget. Slowmoov offers you inexpensive, unusual accommodation in the heart of nature. So as not to add to the bill, we’ve put together a selection of free activities you can do anywhere, whether with family, friends or lovers.
A walking tour

It’s the most accessible and natural free activity in the world. The advantage is that while you’re walking, you take the time to observe your surroundings, and above all, you breathe while doing something that’s good for your health.
Whether it’s on a signposted path with walking shoes on your feet, or a stroll through the streets of the surrounding villages, there’s no shortage of opportunities for hiking while staying in our unusual villages in Corrèze, Auvergne or Champagne.
Slowmoov’s favorite itineraries :
- In Corrèze: The Mont-Cé loop: See the trail description: Things to do: Mont-Cé loop – Hiking (visorando.com)
- In Burgundy: trail from the Canal Latéral à la Loire to Château d’Estrées : See hike description: To do: From the Canal Latéral to the Château d’Estrées – Hiking (visorando.com)
- In Champagne : Circuit around Sainte-Germaine : See the map : To do : Around Sainte-Germaine – Hiking (visorando.com)
😱The figure that’ll blow your mind: 90 minutes is the amount of time you need to take a walk in nature to see life in a more positive light, according to researchers at Stanford University. Not to mention that it boosts our immunity and reduces respiratory problems and stress. So don’t deprive yourself!
Treasure hunt

Do your children always grumble when you suggest a walk? Let yourself be tempted by a treasure hunt – kids love them! You’ll see that it’s not just for kids, it’s a great way to discover a region in a different way, and you’ll often learn a lot about the place you’re visiting.
There are many ways to organize a treasure hunt:
- Free applications: Terra Aventura in Corrèze, Pépit’ in Auvergne, or Baludik. These applications offer guided treasure hunts.
- The hunt for decorated pebbles: This fashion has invaded the whole of France, so keep your eyes peeled on your walks.
- Geocaching, available all over France
Family Olympics

There’s nothing like a little family competition to strengthen bonds.
Each of our unusual villages is equipped with archery, table tennis, a trampoline and a swimming pool. It’s up to you to use your creativity to come up with events that suit all participants.
A trip to the market

On vacation, we like to soak up the local atmosphere. There’s nothing better than a trip to the market. You can meet local producers, chat with the locals and, of course, sample some of the region’s best specialities.
Playing sports with health trails

I don’t know about you, but it’s usually hard to resist these park-based exercise courses: push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, jumping jacks, and so on. You can have a real workout while having fun and enjoying nature.
If you’re staying at Village des Monédières, a fitness trail is available in the arboretum just outside the village.
If you’re staying at the Village Toue du Domaine des Demoiselles, a fitness trail is available in the wooded park next to the Chassenard town hall. You can also take your car to Paray-le-Monial, where a fitness trail has been set up in the Moulin-Liron park.
Take part in a free producer tasting

Small local producers are often passionate about sharing their know-how and letting visitors taste their products. They regularly organize free tastings, so don’t hesitate to sign up. In addition to tasting local flavors, you’ll learn a lot about the trades.
Where can I find out about tastings with local producers? Ask at the reception desk in one of our unusual villages, or directly at the tourist office.
Don’t miss the local specialities:
In Corrèze: Juice from apples harvested right next to our trailers.
In Burgundy: Snails
Champagne: Champagne of course!
As soon as you arrive, go to the Tourist Office
When you arrive, you can ask us for advice on free activities to do during your stay in Slowmoov’s unusual accommodations. But we can’t advise you enough to go to the tourist office at the start of your stay to glean as much information as possible and prepare all your excursions and visits.
In the village of Les Monédières, the tourist office is just a few meters away, in the arboretum.
To reach the Toue village on the Domaine des Demoiselles, you’ll need to visit the Digoin tourist office. You can also get there on foot, on the other side of the Loire.
In the Village de la Champagne, Bar-sur-Aube’s tourist office is on Boulevard du 14 juillet, just over 1km from our unusual village.
